“During the AGM held in 2014, it was decided by committee members that a workshop may be organized for the youth of Mumbai, hence GYOM ( Gorkha Youth of Mumbai) was formed inviting youth of Mumbai. Mr. Bharat Darnal and team (which included Ms Poonam Lama, Ms Roshni Rai and Mr. Bishal Lama) was given the responsibility to conduct workshop for youth. As planned a workshop was conducted at Madh Island on 17th May 2014.

In order to facilitate Gorkha achievers, a program titled “Gorkha Meet” was organized by BGES on 25th Sept 2016 at Country Club Kandivali, Mumbai. During the Program the following Gorkha achievers were facilitated:
Ms Shasha Chettri (Airtel Girl), Mr. Adrian Pradhan (Renowned Nepali singer), Nepali Navy officials and Nepali Bollywood Dancer.
Bravery award presented to Bipin Dahal of Indian Navy, in honour of exceptional courage determination and never give-up spirit, exhibited in fulfilling in most adverse sea condition at night, continuously swimming for 12 hours. The whole nation is proud of you.
